Homelessness has been a growing concern within the LGBT community, especially among LGBT youth.
The Ali Forney Center, an LGBT homeless youth organization in New York, will not be stopped in their efforts to end LGBT youth homelessness. Not even superstorm Sandy was able to stop them.
A report from the Center for American Progress showed LGBT youth are at a far greater risk of winding up homeless and being abused on the streets.
This morning, the White House announced that Carl Siciliano, executive director and founder of New York City’s Ali Forney Center, has been selected as a Champion of Change in the Fight Against Youth Homelessness.
