Last night Neil Patrick Harris hosted the 67th annual Tony Awards, recognizing excellence in Broadway Theater. Following an opening number that featured a cameo by retired boxer Mike Tyson singing along Harris, Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein’s Kinky Boots received awards in six categories, including Best Musical while playwright and LGBT activist Larry Kramer accepted the Isabelle Stevenson Award.
This morning Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Sutton Foster announced the 67th Annual Tony Award nominations from The New York Public Library for Performing Arts. Playwright and civil rights advocate Larry Kramer will receive the Isabelle Stevenson award at this year's Tony Awards to be broadcast live on CBS on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 8:00pm ET.
