Nominations for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards were announced yesterday and voting is now open to decide the winners. Glee scored big in TV with a leading five nominations between the series and cast and Modern Family followed closely behind with four nods. Of the five actors nominated for Favorite Comedic TV Actor, four are openly gay. A wide range of LGBT-inclusive programs also picked up nominations.
This year, ABC’s Modern Family won big at the 63rd annual Emmy Awards. The inclusive sitcom took home five awards including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Supporting Actress and Actor in a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Writing and Direction for a Comedy Series.
