According to Advocates for Informed Choice, a nonprofit organization advocating on behalf of intersex children, an estimated one in 2,000 babies is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy and/or chromosome pattern that doesn’t seem to fit typical definitions of male or female.
Being LGBT is illegal in 81 countries, and in at least eleven of them punishable by death.
In only 17 days thousands of advocates and LGBT allies form around the world will celebrate the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia in an attempt to draw the attention to the violence and discrimination experienced by LGBT people internationally.
