Recording artist Carly Rae Jepsen, who withdrew as headliner of the 2013 National Scout Jamboree following a campaign launched by GLAAD and Eagle Scout Derek Nance, today spoke with MTV News about her decision to drop out of the concert. Bill Gates recounts his time as a Boy Scout but urges the organization to end it's anti-gay ban "because it's 2013."

GLAAD today joined Boy Scout camp leader Derek Nance to call on musicians Carly Rae Jepsen and Train, headliners at the Boy Scouts of America's (BSA) 2013 National Scout Jamboree, to denounce the BSA's ban on gay scouts and scout leaders.
