Two state-funded South Carolina universities are being required to teach about the United States founding documents in retaliation for the fact that the colleges spent funds on LGBT-themed reading materials.
The South Carolina legislature appears to be dropping the proposed budget cuts intended to punish the University of South Carolina Upstate and the College of Charleston for assigning LGBT-themed reading materials.
South Carolina legislators cut funding to two colleges because the professors assigned LGBT-themed litaratre to freshmen to read. Despite attempts, the cuts have not been restored.
