IKEA made headlines last month when they removed an article about a lesbian couple and their son from the Russian version of the company's internationally distributed magazine. Now, RUSA LGBT needs your help in sending the message that LGBT families do not deserve to be erased.
Alec Fischer, a 20-year-old student at the University of Minnesota, is leading the movement to have the discredited practice of "ex-gay" (also known as "conversion" or "reparative") therapy for minors banned in his state. With help from Representative Karen Clark and more than 80,000 supporters, Alec's vision is on its way to becoming law.
Alec Fischer has started a Change.org petition, calling on the Minnesota Governor, Mark Dayton, as well as state legislators, to pass a ban on "ex-gay" therapy. So far, over 35,000 people have signed on. Add your name.
A petition has been circulating on Change.org asking Victoria’s Secret to bring on Carmen Carrera has the first trans Angel. So far, close to 40,000 people have signed.
