Today is the first day of Camp Pride, a Campus Pride program that brings together more than 75 lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and ally students along with 25 advisors from colleges and universities across the entire country with the mission of building leadership capacity among LGBT and ally undergraduate college student leaders and to create safer and more inclusive campus communities in the United States.

Today, equality advocates across the country are celebrating the first National Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) Day. A project of the Iowa Pride Network (IPN), the day is meant to stregnthen the bond between LGBT people and straight allies and encourage students to start GSAs and schools and colleges to support them.
