The LDS Church announced on Thursday that it would officially endorse The Boy Scouts of America's (BSA) recent proposal to change their anti-gay policies and allow gay youth members, but not adults, to join the organization.

Today, the BSA released proposed language for a revised Membership Standards Resolution, which, if approved, would open Scouting to openly gay youth but would maintain the organization's ban on participation by gay and lesbian mothers, fathers and adutls.
The BSA has denied the application for a boy scout troop that would have had all straight members but been sponsored by the Utah Pride Center.
