Actor Christopher Plummer finally added an Oscar to his trophy shelf Sunday night, when he won the award for Best Supporting Actor at the 84th annual Academy Awards for his role as an elderly gay man in the film Beginners.

Awards season continued with the Screen Actors Guild awards last night, and LGBT-inclusive hits Modern Family and Beginners both received honors.
