Support GLAAD: Ways to Give
As GLAAD continues to grow the programs offering opportunities for members to change hearts and minds across the country and around the world, so grows the importance we place on our fundraising efforts. The more money we raise, the greater impact we have in communities across the country.
There are a number of ways to give to GLAAD; however, a monetary contribution directly to the organization will have a greater impact on enhancing GLAAD’s work throughout the country. Various methods of monetary giving are listed below:

Honor, Memorial or Tribute Gift
Interested in making a donation in the name of a loved one? How about on an occasion of meaning such as a wedding, commitment ceremony, birthday, anniversary or holiday? Yes, GLAAD will gladly accept honor, memorial or tribute gifts. You can make a donation by credit card by calling the membership department below or you can simply enclose a check for the amount* you wish to donate and include a note indicating the individual’s name and contact information for the person or family member you would like to be notified of your gift.
For more information, please visit our Honor, Memorial & Tribute Gifts page.
*Please consider a minimum donation of $20 to offset the extra charges associated with the honor, memorial or tribute gift processing procedure.
Combined Federal Campaign
Annually, GLAAD receives over $80,000 in donations from Government Employees through the CFC. GLAAD’s CFC code is 11743.
Our yearly events are a great way for your company to get connected to high impact events while working to meet your marketing needs. The sponsorship programs begin with affordable buy-ins and can be tailored to fit your company’s goals.
Contact Wilson Cruz, Strategic Giving Officer, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Donate Your Vehicle
Don’t be cheated on trade-ins. Dealers typically give you less than what your car is worth. Instead, trade your vehicle to advance equality.
Did you know you could donate your car, truck, boat, trailer or RV to GLAAD and receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of your vehicle? Our non-profit partner, The Car Program, LLC will pick up your vehicle, sell-it and send the proceeds to GLAAD. Your gift will be recognized at the appropriate GLAAD Membership level and you may receive benefits based on the selling price of your vehicle.
Download this simple Vehicle Donation Form and send via fax or email to 916-631-1328 or email@example.com. If you have any questions, please contact Corey Kusaba with The Car Program at 800-513-6560 or Wilson Cruz at GLAAD at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gifts of Stock
Gifts of stock, especially long-term appreciated stock, provide benefits to GLAAD and you. GLAAD can put your funds to work immediately and you can:
- Give away appreciated assets and usually avoid tax on the gain
- Receive the regular charitable income tax deduction if you itemize your taxes
- Claim a tax deduction for the full fair market value (rather than the cost value) of your stock if you have owned the securities for more than one year

United Way Giving
Designate all or a portion of your United Way Gift to GLAAD.
Regardless of how you give, we would like to thank you for your support. GLAAD is a member-based organization and we could not do the media advocacy work we do without your generous contribution. Thank you for all you do to help us change hearts and minds.
Snapshot of Our Work
The Boy Scouts of America ended its ban on gay Scouts following GLAAD's yearlong campaign to bring equality to Scouting. GLAAD first started calls for the Boy Scouts of America to end its ban on gay Scouts and Scout leaders in April 2012 after Jennifer Tyrrell, a mom and den leader from Ohio was removed from her 7-year-old’s Cub Scout pack for being gay. Since then and with GLAAD's support, more than 1.8 million signatures have been collected through Change.org calling for an end to the Boy Scouts' ban on gay members. GLAAD is continuing its call for the Boy Scouts to end its ban on gay parents and leaders. More at glaad.org/scouts
