Happy New Year!

I want to focus this month on what a success the Digital Initiative was in 2003. The facts:

• Nearly 1 MILLION USER sessions logged on the new GLAAD.org in 2003.

• Our online resources for the media were accessed over 400,000 times.

• In 2003 we also offered, for the first time ever, audio and video clips at GLAAD.org. When people see and hear attacks on our community, they are moved to act.

• Our Write Now! daily online activism opportunity (launched in November) is responsible for sending hundreds of personalized responses to coverage of our community to newspapers across the country - we know these messages resonate with the decision makers at media organizations - and several submissions from GLAAD.org have been printed in these publications.

The bottom line: GLAAD.org keeps our constituents - both the media and LGBT and allied community - informed and engaged in our efforts to change hearts and minds.
