GLAAD's National News Media Program proactively works with the most influential TV, print, and online news outlets to ensure they cover LGBT issues - and responds when stories are not fair and accurate.

The Spanish-Language Media program shares stories of LGBT people via Spanish-Language news and entertainment media to build acceptance of LGBT people and raise support for equality. The program also provides vital resources on communicating to this audience to the LGBT movement.

Through our National People of Color Media Institute and advocacy work with Black and Spanish-language media, GLAAD is elevating the voices of the millions of LGBT people of color in the US while raising visibility around the everyday challenges they face when trying to participate fully in their communities.

GLAAD Advocates for positive stories about transgender Americans in the news and on television programs like TeenNick's Degrassi. GLAAD also helps transgender people and allies across the country share their stories in their local communities.

The Entertainment Media Program monitors film, television, music and related entertainment media to ensure inclusive and accurate portrayals of the LGBT community.
