Welcome to Where We Are On TV, GLAAD’s annual report about diversity on television.
At the launch of the 2008-09 television season, GLAAD estimates that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) scripted characters represent only 2.6% of all series regular characters on the five broadcast networks: ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, and The CW. Cable programming and unscripted reality television, however, include numerous diverse representations that better reflect the LGBT community. GLAAD will continue to work with the broadcast and cable networks to encourage more LGBT representations on television, and to make those representations fair, accurate and more diverse.

Your gift allows us to track the impact of our work, helping us better understand the state of acceptance and address the gaps with advocacy — like pushing for more trans representation on TV.
