Performance Report 2009 - 2010
Each November, communities across the country come together to honor America’s veterans for their service to our country. Veteran's Day gives journalists an important opportunity to recognize the contributions of service members in their media coverage of the holiday, including the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) veterans.
Chanukah, Christmas, Eid al-Adha, Kwanzaa, New Year's, Muharram, the Lunar New Year and other seasonal celebrations will soon set the stage for countless news and feature stories in mainstream and ethnic print and electronic media.
GLAAD released a new survey conducted by Harris Interactive in the wake of the passage of and protests against California's Proposition 8. The survey reveals that majorities of Americans favor a broad range of policies and legal protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people.
