What makes you proud? Show us on Instagram #PridePortraits

In honor of Pride 2014, GLAAD is working with Instagram to launch their first-ever Pride Portraits Campaign. Staff members are posting portraits of themselves accompanied their own stories of pride, love and family… but that's not all!

New York City is an exciting place to discover lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) culture any time of year, and as many already know, June marks LGBT Pride month. Here in NYC, all five boroughs celebrate this month with marches, festivals, and parties that bring LGBT history to the forefront of public attention.

This June, we hope to see even more spirit as we are approaching the 3-year anniversary of marriage equality in New York state, and with 18 other states also promoting equality, there's even more reason for locals to celebrate. So what better theme for this year's Pride than 'We have won when we're one.'
