NEW YORK, NY - GLAAD, the nation's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy organization, today announced it will honor Emmy-nominated journalist Thomas Roberts at the 26th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York at the Waldorf Astoria New York on May 9, 2015.
NASHVILLE – On June 12, 2015, artists and celebrities from across the country will come together in a coalition of support for LGBT acceptance at the inaugural Concert for Love and Acceptance, presented by Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning artist Ty Herndon and GLAAD, at City Winery (609 Lafayette St.) in Nashville, Tenn.
New York – Today eight organizations came together under Unite for Marriage, a partnership working together to show support for marriage for same-sex couples as the question stands before the U.S. Supreme Court. Participating organizations include Marriage Equality USA, Freedom to Marry, Human Rights Campaign, Family Equality Council, GLAAD, National LGBTQ Task Force, GetEQUAL and the Campaign for Southern Equality.
LOS ANGELES - GLAAD, the nation’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy organization, today released its third annual Studio Responsibility Index (SRI), a report that maps the quantity, quality, and diversity of images of LGBT people in films released by the seven largest motion picture studios during the 2014 calendar year. For the first time, GLAAD this year also tracked LGBT representations in films released by four major subsidiary studios.
