ORLANDO, FL - We the undersigned organizations working on the front lines of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) movement share in the profound grief for those who were killed and many more who were wounded during Latin Night at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. Their lives were lost or forever altered in this devastating act of violence targeting LGBTQ people. Our hearts go out to all the family and friends touched by this horrific act. We know their lives will never be the same again.

Music Megastar Demi Lovato Wears Support For Transgender Community During 24th Annual Billboard Music Awards Performance | May 22, 2016

LAS VEGAS – Multi platinum-selling recording artist Demi Lovato wore her support for the transgender community during the 24th Annual Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, once again taking a strong stand against North Carolina’s anti-LGBT law known as HB2. During her performance, the GLAAD Vanguard Award recipient wore a T-shirt featuring an inclusive bathroom symbol. A replica of the T-shirt will be sold during Lovato’s Honda Civic tour: Future Now and the proceeds will be donated to LGBT organizations in North Carolina, GLAAD announced today.
