Andy Marra, People of Color Media Manager - API Community
Andy Marra is the Asian-Pacific Islander (API) Media Manager for GLAAD. Her capacity consists of tracking and analyzing the media covering the API lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, and ensuring visibility of this community in the media. Additionally, she works to build the capacity of API LGBT organizations and advocates in telling their stories and sharing their images with the media.

In addition to GLAAD, she is Board President for the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) and a trustee of the New York Association for Gender Rights Advocacy (NYAGRA). Marra has authored two national resources titled "Organizing an Awareness Event for API Heritage Month" and "Martin Luther King Day - Using the Civil Rights Movement as a Model for Safer Schools Organizing."

Marra is a past recipient of the Gay and Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN) National Pathfinder Award; The National Gay & Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF) Creating Change Award; The Colin Higgins Foundation Courage Award; and was named one of the next LGBT leaders in the Movement by The Advocate (June 2006).
