After Details Magazine published a defamatory piece in its April 2004 issue, GLAAD contacted Details Magazine's Editor-in-Chief Dan Peres. The Editor acknowledged that running a discriminatory piece about both gay and Asian men was inappropriate. We decided to run a public statement and mobilized the API LGBT community by urging them to send e-mails to the Editor. The Editors apologized - and ran GLAAD's statement in its May issue.
