The Wyoming State Senate is scheduled to consider a bill that would ban discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. The Senate Judiciary Committee recommended approval of the bill on Wednesday. The bill is first on the list for consideration among bills set for their initial Senate hearings on Thursday, but the list is subject to last-minute changes. Gay activists have been pushing the bill, saying it's essential to give gays and lesbians in the state protections in the workplace and elsewhere.
