Washington, D.C. to Consider Divorce Bill in 2012

Washington, D.C., Council member Phil Mendelson (D-At-Large) introduced a bill that would allow same-sex couples who've married in D.C. but live in states that don’t recognize their marriages to return to D.C. to file for divorce. The bill is set for a vote in early 2012.
