VERO BEACH, Fla. - Kaitlyn Hunt was booked into the Indian River County Jail Monday evening, said Sgt.Thomas Raulen, spokesman for Indian River County Sheriff's Office. A representative from the bail/bond company that posted her bail brought her to the jail around 9 p.m., Raulen said.
Raulen emphasized that her incarceration was not a result of judicial action but rather done at the discretion of the bail/bond agent.
On Tuesday, an Indian River County judge could decide to keep Hunt behind bars for allegedly violating terms of pretrial release. The development may be causing a shift in support in Hunt's small hometown.
"A kid just turned an adult, just barely turned an adult with another kid," said Sebastian resident Dale Wilson. That is just one of the many opinions surfacing in the quiet community. Hunt is charged with having sex with a 14 year old female schoolmate when Hunt was 18 years old.
