GLAAD worked closely with Frank Mugisha as part of the team effort to challenge the anti-gay bill in Uganda. He was one of the key leaders on the ground we consulted with every step of the way to confirm that U.S. strategies were in line with the SMUG strategies. Mugisha was also part of a consultation with the United Nations which GLAAD helped plan. We thank Frank Mugisha for his invaluable work and congratulate him on this well-deserved award!
