Issak Wolfe, a transgender Red Lion Area High School senior whose attempt to run for prom king last month was thwarted by school officials, made his first public appearance Saturday since that controversy. For about 20 minutes, Wolfe took questions from a moderator and members of the audience of a few dozen gathered for “The Hope Summit: a symposium on bullying” at the Midtown Scholar bookstore in Harrisburg. He also spoke of his upcoming efforts to address a school board meeting in order to protest his proposed treatment by the school at graduation.
