Transgender Boca Raton Man Among 14 Vying for 'Glee'

If he’s chosen to join the"Glee"cast, Tyler Ford has a TV-ready story line.

Ford is a biracial transgender 21-year-old from Boca Raton, and one of 14 contestants on “The Glee Project,” which starts its second season tonight on Oxygen. The winner will be featured in a seven-episode story arc on next season’s “Glee” on Fox.

Ford graduated from Spanish River High in 2009, where he was known as Brittany, and went on to Vanderbilt University.
