Julie Blaha of Anoka-Hennepin School District's Education Minnesota union on Monday urged the district to drop a proposed policy that would prevent teachers from stating their position on so-called "controversial" topics. The proposed policy is aimed at replacing the district's policy that requires teachers to remain "neutral" on matters relating to LGBT people. The union also opposes the "neutrality" policy.
