Senate postpones marriage debate until Thursday

Maryland's Senate will wait until Thursday to debate Gov.Martin O'Malley's marriage bill, delaying the discussion one day at the request of opponents to the measure.
The move was not surprising. Senate rules allow opponents to halt debate for a day to prepare amendments and sharpen their arguments.
