When Gabrielle Ludwig made her women's college basketball debut in early December, her Mission College (Calif.) team's season became unlike any in the history of college basketball. Ludwig, now 51, played junior college basketball this season after she underwent gender reassignment surgery this past summer. Ludwig had played college basketball at Nassau Community College in 1980 as a man named Robert Ludwig.
