NYPD Investigates Harlem Murder as Hate Crime

Just three weeks after 18-year-old Tayshana Murphy, a high school basketball star, was murdered in her Harlem, N.Y. apartment complex, anti-gay comments were etched in the stairwell on the same floor where she was shot. The NYPD Hate Crimes Unit has joined the murder investigation.
