N.C. County Elections Chief Resigns to Campaign Against Marriage Amendment

Harnett County, N.C., elections director Sherre Toler resigned last week because staying in the position would prevent her from speaking out against a proposed constitutional amendment aiming to ban marriage for same-sex couples in the state.
