The National Organization for Marriage plans to throw its support to Mitt Romney today, giving the former Massachusetts governor a stamp of approval from the high-profile conservative group helping lead the fight over marriage equality, POLITICO has learned In a statement, NOM president Brian Brown will urge conservatives to get behind Romney: “Now is the time for all people who recognize the importance of marriage to come together to support a true champion, Mitt Romney, against an incumbent who has done virtually everything in his power to undermine the institution of marriage.”
