Mississippi newspaper's story on wedding of gay couple draws backlash, new readers

A small-town newspaper’s decision to cover a same-sex wedding — in a state that doesn’t recognize such unions — initially cost the paper a few dozen subscriptions.
But the decision ultimately paid off after the Laurel Leader-Call’s front-page article on Feb. 7 was reposted, reblogged and revisited on an international scale.
