Minority Groups and Marriage Equality

Re “In Immigrant Areas, Gay Marriage Stirs a Culture Clash” (news article, Sept. 8):

Generalizations that immigrant communities are hostile to civil marriage rights for same-sex couples needlessly pit minority groups against one another and are simply false. Polling data reflecting majority support on this issue among Latino New Yorkers, for example, tell another story.
