Maryland Governor Urges Passage of Marriage Equality Bill

Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley (D) testified on Tuesday before the Senate Judicial Hearings Committee and urged the body to approve the state's proposed marriage equality bill. O'Malley said, "The way forward, the way to sustain and enhance our common life together, is equal respect for the freedom of all."
