A Southern California church says it will replace recently stolen flags because they represent its diverse membership, including a rainbow flag for gay rights. Officials from St. Luke’s of the Mountains Episcopal Church said Wednesday that flags from Korea and Mexico, a rainbow flag and an environmental flag were stolen on May 19, and the Armenian flag was stolen weeks earlier. An American flag was left untouched. The flags will be replaced after Sunday’s service.
