Iowa’s Senate Majority Leader Vows To Block Anti-Gay Amendment

Iowa state Senate Majority Leader Michael Gronstal on Thursday promised to block debate on a proposed constitutional amendment that would ban marriage equality in the state. Gronstal said, “People’s rights should not be put to a popular vote [...] We didn’t put the right to go to a school in your neighborhood to a vote of the people of Iowa.”
