This week, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said her department will put into writing a set of instructions telling officials to consider same-sex relationships as families when determining whether an individual should be deported. Officials had previously been told verbally that they could do so, but now the instruction is being made much clearer. This move will hopefully help bi-national couples like Brian and Anton (pictured) stay together.
