House Raises Salary Cap for DOMA Lawyer to $1.5 Million

According to a contract dated Sept. 30, a revised salary cap of $1.5 million has been set for Paul D. Clement, the lawyer hired by Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to lead the defense of the constitutionality of Section 3 of DOMA. The salary cap was previously set to $500,000.
