A brave Texas high school student used his graduation speech to tell friends and family that he is gay. Mitch Anderson took to the stage at Belton High School on Thursday night to describe the "inner turmoil" of coming to terms with his own sexuality. It was the first time he'd ever told anyone his true feelings — a terrifying move, he thought, because living deep in the Bible Belt he feared people would not accept him. Confessing to have considered suicide, he told the audience, "I feel the moment has arrived for me to be publicly true to my personal identity.
