Gov. Beverly Perdue is speaking out in urging voters to defeat a proposed constitutional amendment on next month’s ballot that aims to prevent relationship recognition for same-sex couples and others in North Carolina.
Perdue’s office released a video Thursday on YouTube in which the Democrat said the amendment could harm families and businesses in the state if it’s approved May 8.
