An intimate lunch with Hollywood star George Clooney is just one of the prizes available in an upcoming auction to benefit America’s Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). The winning bidder and a friend will get to sit down for lunch with Clooney and entertainment writer David Karger at Soho House in West Hollywood. The lunch date has been valued at $20,000 and will be up for bid until October 11 on the Charitybuzz auction site. So far there have been three bids on the lunch, with the next minimum bid set at $7,000. GLSEN works to ensure safe and supportive schooling environments for LGBT youth. Clooney has repeatedly refused to deny gay rumors despite having had a series of glamorous girlfriends over the years because he says it would be wrong to imply that there is anything wrong with being gay, and has called marriage equality the final leg of the American civil rights movement.
