Gay Nebraskans recount being fired for being gay

A Nebraska resident told lawmakers on Thursday that he suspects he has been fired three times for being gay. Lucas Peterson, 28, of Lincoln asked legislators to pass a bill that would prevent employers from discriminating against him and others based on sexual orientation. Peterson said he was first fired shortly after he came out about his sexual orientation in college.
