Gay National Guard Major And His Partner Are The White House's Christmas 'Treemasters'

When a call earlier this year was put out for volunteers to come and decorate the White House for the holidays, Maj. Wes Risner, 50, of the Oregon Air National Guard, quietly sent in an application. In his letter, Risner nominated himself and his partner, Chris Schwarz, as volunteers. In August, Schwarz was notified that they had been approved to come to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue the day after Thanksgiving.
