Fox News Severely Downplayed LGBT Equality Victories

A new analysis from Equality Matters shows that FOX News offered substantially less coverage of the marriage equality victories in last week’s election when compared to competing networks CNN and MSNBC. Only when bundled with other ballot initiatives did marriage warrant the least bit of attention. Worse yet, FOX only mentioned the historic election of Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) as the first out LGBT senator one time, and didn’t even mention her sexual orientation.
