Following Protest, Asheville Lesbian Couple Found Guilty of Trespass

Rev. Kathryn Cartledge and Elizabeth Eve on Tuesday were found guilty of second-degree trespassing for an October incident during which the couple refused to leave the Buncombe County Register of Deeds Office after being denied a marriage license. Judge Julie Kepple announced that they would each have to pay a $10 fine.
