EDITORIAL: School wrong on transgender girl

Colorado law protects the right of Coy Mathis, a 6-year-old transgender child, to use the girls' restroom at her public elementary school. Administrators at the Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 should have allowed her to do so. It's unfortunate for the sake of the child that the situation has turned into such a spectacle when the law and state rules so plainly spell out the rights of transgender individuals.
