Denmark to Allow Same-Sex Couples to Marry in Churches

Demnark announced this week it plans to allow same-sex couples to get married in formal church weddings, instead of the short blessing ceremonies that the state Lutheran Church currently offers them. Denmark was the first country in the world to legalize same-sex unions, in 1989.
