Following an attack on two gay men last month, District residents and members of the Lesbian Gay Bisexual & Trangender community have organized a rally, safety walk and “moment of noise” set for Thursday night.
The We Shall Not Be Moved rally and safety walk is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Big Bear Cafe, 1700 1st Street NW, for a short rally. Supporters will then walk to the location of the attack on Michael Roike and Michael Hall on Third Street NE for a “moment of noise,” according to the group’s Facebook page.
