Bishop's Aide Resigns After Anti-Gay Column

Daniel Avila, who penned an anti-gay column that appeared in The Pilot, a newspaper for the Archdiocese of Boston, submitted his resignation to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops on Friday.
